What is CBD?

In recent years, awareness of the medicinal properties of CBD oil has expanded. Along with the rise in popularity, questions are also common regarding the various uses of CBD, its health benefits, its legality in Israel, and more.

In recent years, a large number of studies have been published about the non-psychoactive component in the cannabis plant – cannabidiol (or in short, CBD). These cases have raised public awareness of the benefits of CBD, and have provided an answer to many who are looking for alternative, effective and safe treatments in a large number of medical conditions.

However, along with the rise in popularity and public interest, the amount of misinformation disseminated by various stakeholders has also increased. Many people do not know what the legal status of CBD is in Israel, what results to expect when used and where to get high quality products that contain CBD at an effective level.

What is CBD?

CBD, or Canabidoil, is a compound found in the cannabis plant. The cannabis plant has over a hundred different compounds called cannabidoids. CBD is one of two major cannabidoids, along with THC. Unlike THC, CBD does not have psychoactive effects – that is, it does not cause a ‘high’ feeling.

In recent years, following numerous studies in the field, the use of CBD in Israel has become increasingly common among those non-veteran cannabis users – adults, people suffering from various medical conditions and chronic diseases, athletes and even children with autism, epilepsy or ADHD. Most users prefer to get the CBD in the form of oil or capsules, in measured doses and with maximum ease of use.

For a long time, many users and parents of those children ordered CBD  products from abroad on a regular basis, to the point where the Ministry of Health in Israel began to allow treatment with CBD oil. It should be noted that despite the benefits of using the oil, there are also benefits to smoking or Evaporation of CBD or smoking CBD, the active ingredients reach the bloodstream quickly, and as a result the effect is more immediate and noticeable (although the effect will be for a shorter time). , And in order to evaporate the material, use a dedicated vaporizer or fill CBD e-liquid vaporizing liquid with an e-cigarette vape device.

Medicinal uses for CBD

According to studies published in recent years, CBD has the potential to help in the following medical conditions:

    Reducing epileptic seizures

Severe and / or chronic pain relief

    Treatment of diabetes

    Schizophrenia treatment

Stopping the development of cancerous tumors

    Anxiety treatment

    Relief of nausea and vomiting

    Treatment of migraines

    Anti-dielectric properties

Treatment of sleep problems and insomnia

    And more ..

The United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) published in 2017 a document defining CBD as safe to use, with no side effects and no risk of addiction.

How do you consume CBD?

CBD can be consumed in a variety of ways: ingestion, evaporation, application or smoking.
The most common and convenient way to use CBD is to drip drops of oil under the tongue, or with a drink or food.

In order to get the maximum effect, it is recommended to leave the oil under the tongue for about a minute or two so that it is well absorbed in the concentration of blood vessels that are under the tongue. Absorption of the oil through the stomach takes longer, and may decrease from the effect following the mixing and dissolution of the CBD with food and gastric juices.

Oral fibroids can also be consumed in other ways, in capsules, sprays, crystalline extracts (in powder form) and edibles (food products with a high concentration of CBD fibroids such as chocolates, gummy candies and more). As mentioned above, it is also possible to smoke an inflorescence or cannabis with a high CBD concentration, but for this purpose such substances must be obtained. For immediate effect, CBD e-liquid vaporizer can be evaporated using a dedicated vaporizer (e-cigarette or vape device).

In recent years, new products and uses have been developed for the consumption of CBD fibers, such as chewing gum, ointments, sprays, creams, cosmetics, mineral water and more. It is currently estimated that in the not too distant future the CBD will be used in many food and beverage products as a healthy food supplement, as well as for various medications.

Where can I buy CBD products?

Holders of a license to use medical cannabis can purchase CBD oil produced in the country, from one of the approved companies. The concentrations in these oils range from 3% -15%, and even more in some cases.

Another option is to order products that contain CBD, and CBD oil in particular, from websites that specialize in selling these products. In view of the popularity of the field and the large number of shops set up in on the run, there is a large amount of misinformation regarding CBD. Moreover, CBD products can be counterfeited very easily, since the effect is a failure of a dietary supplement – it is not always possible to point your finger on it at first. In light of the above, when ordering CBDs from Ecommerce websites, care should be taken to order only from reputable sites, which sell products that have been manufactured under appropriate conditions and have undergone independent laboratory tests.

Is CBD Legal in Israel?

The answer to this question is not certain at the moment. On the one hand, the CBD per se does not appear in the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance (unlike THC). However, CBD is produced from the cannabis plant, and the Israeli Drugs Ordinance does state that “any part of the cannabis plant or its extraction is prohibited by law, except oil extracted from the seeds” (oil extracted from cannabis seeds does not contain cannabinoids at all). The reason, therefore, that the legality is not unequivocal is that Israel enters, under license, products that are made from the cannabis plant, such as canvas fabrics, paper made from hemp. No one thinks of stopping the entry of these products as they are not dangerous and have no psychoactive effect. The grandfather CBD is also not dangerous, and has no psychoactive effects, however, the customs authorities, under the guidance of the Ministry of Health, do not allow its importation into Israel.

It seems that the police, however, choose not to mess with CBD or incriminate its users. In light of this, the police have made it clear in writing and unequivocally that for them it is not a banned or dangerous drug, and that possession or use of CBD products is permitted as long as they are not part of the plant (inflorescence) and do not contain THC. Moreover, you can find stores that sell CBD products in Israel (although not with a full spectrum) on the streets of Tel Aviv, and many orders of local consumers enter Israel and are not confiscated on a daily basis (it should be noted that orders of CBD from abroad may be confiscated by Customs authorities which are obliged to comply with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health).

What is the difference between CBD and Hemp oil?

Many products called “cannabis oil” can be found in health food stores. These products are actually “hemp oil”, and are extracted from the seeds of the cannabis plant and therefore do not contain any cannabinoids – neither CBD nor THC. CBD oil and hemp oil are completely different products since the medicinal ingredient in CBD oil, which is the cannabinoid CBD, is not found in hemp oil at all. Hemp oil does not have the medicinal properties associated with CBD, so it is important not to confuse the two.

What is a FULL SPECTRUM?

FULL SPECTRUM oil contains all the cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant
As well as a large number of terpenes and flavonoids working together to obtain the “entourage effect”.
This oil is characterized by a delicate cannabis odor because of its terpenes content and contains within it all the health benefits of the cannabis plant.
Full spectrum oils are considered to be more effective and high quality than oils that contain CBD fiber extraction alone.
A recently published study showed that full spectrum CDB oil is more effective in treating epilepsy compared to oil containing CBD alone.

What is BROAD SPECTRUM?

Broad spectrum oil “FULL SPECTRUM” is an oil that contains
A broad spectrum of cannabinoids and does not contain THC at all.
This oil is especially suitable for those looking for a product without THC
Which provides all the health benefits of full spectrum oil.
Unlike other oils that do not contain THC in the production of these oils no pure fiber was used but a whole plant extract that removed the THC from it.

Pure CBD ISOLATE OIL

In contrast to full spectrum oil pure fibrous oil is produced from pure CBD fibrous extract which does not contain cannabinoids or terpenes at all, but only CBD fibrous extract is tasteless and odorless.
In the extraction process all the compounds are removed until they are left with pure CBD in its crystalline form,
Then add the CBD fiber to a carrier oil such as hemp seed oil, olive oil or coconut oil.
